Prof. Dr. drh. NLP Indi Dharmayanti

Prof. Dr. dr. NLP Indi Dharmayanti, M.Si now serves as chairman of Research Organization for Health, BRIN with expertise in Virology, Zoonoses Emergence and re-emerging diseases. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University, then continued his master’s education in the field of Biotechnology at Gadjah Mada University, and completed his Doctoral degree in Biomedical at the University of Indonesia.

She was a Principal Research Expert in Virology and Molecular Biology, then became Head of IRCVS, Agricultural Research and Development Agency and is now the chairman of Research Organization for Health, BRIN.

In addition, he often participates in international collaborations, some of which are being the project leader of RAS5085, Avian Influenza, IAEA; National coordinator of Integrated Zoonotic Diseases, Action (ZODIAK – INT5157) (2020-2024); University of Utrecht, Camphylobacter Studies 2021-2023; Osaka Perfecture University, Research Collaboration 2017/2020; NIH – 2019 Center for Research on Developing Infectious Diseases in Southeast Asia: Longitudinal Study of Nipah Virus Prevalence in Indonesia; ACIAR project leader – No Project LS/2020/156 Initiative Global Burden of Animal Diseases: A Case Study of Indonesia; Covid-19 project leader (INT0098), IAEA; University of Tokyo Zoonotic Diseases from Rodenti; and others.

Has been a part of international forum activities, especially as keynote speaker, presenter, and country representative for international meetings, conferences, seminars in the United States, Japan, Austria, Netherlands, France, Thailand, Indonesia etc.

She has also attended training as a trainer or participant in the fields of virology, molecular biology, biosafety and biosecurity, bioinformatics, in several countries, such as Korea, USA, Japan, Singapore, Austria, Netherlands, Thailand, Indonesia, etc. Has published 133 scientific publications consisting of 35 in English and 98 in Indonesian, as well as 11 intellectual property rights.

So for her role she was awarded several awards; Special Achievement Rank III National Leadership Training Level II Class XVII Year 2020 from LAN RI; 2020 Productive Intellectual Property Rights Award/Award from the Ministry of Research and Technology/BRIN; Award for high-quality scientific articles in the field of Health and medicine in 2020 with the scientific article title “Vaccine Efficacy on the Novel Reassortant H9N2 Virus in Indonesia” Kemenristek/BRIN; Award for high-quality scientific articles in the field of Health and medicine in 2020 with the scientific article title “Genetic diversity of the H5N1 viruses in live bird markets, Indonesia” – Kemenristek/BRIN; Award from the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia as an Outstanding Researcher in Agriculture in 2020;

Satyalancana Karya XX Honorary Charter in 2020; Winner of I Veterinary Poultry Scientist Award 2019 at the 2019 Indonesia Poultry Veterinary Award. 18 September 2019; 2017 INPOVA AWARD (Poultry Health Scientist) recipient from the Indonesian Poultry Veterinarian Association/PDHI in 2017; Award from the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia as the Best Innovative Research 2015; Satyalancana Karya Honorary Charter in 2014; Award as the 3rd winner as Best Research from Kalbe Ristek Science Award, Kemenristek Dikti, 2014 and others.
