Prof. Dr. Ir. Ika Mariska Soedharma, DEA, APU

Prof. Dr. Ir. Ika Mariska Soedharma, DEA, APU, born in Sukabumi in 1949, carried out her formal education in the field of Tissue Culture at the Bogor Agricultural Institute with research on orchids, then continued her master’s education in the field of Tissue Culture at the Universite de Technique du Languedoc, Montpellier, France with research on the culture of citrus systems and continued her doctoral education in same university and department with the in vitro study of grafting citrus meristems on rootstock.

Various researches in the field of Agricultural Biotechnology that carry out plant reproduction using tissue culture techniques and plant transgenics, some of which have produced scientific works and it is noted that she has written approximately 22 scientific papers published in national and international journals and proceedings as well as sections from the book.

These various scientific works are the result of a series of research activities carried out as researchers at the Research Agency institutions as well as through national and international collaborations. In addition, Ika Mariska has also released 9 varieties ranging from mini roses (Yulikara, Rosmarun, Rosanda, Rosma varieties), anthurium with violeta varieties, and 4 varieties of productivity sugarcane. For her service, Ika Mariska received the Satyalancana Wira Karya award (KEPRES RI No. 008/TK/Th. 1998)
