Agricultural Communication and Technology Transfer
Ekaningtyas Kushartanti was born in 1959 in Ungaran, Semarang Regency, Central Java. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy at Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta in 1983 and gained her Master’s degree in Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta majoring in Agricultural Economics of Agricultural Extension in 2001. She worked at the Central Java Agricultural Information Center in 1983-1995 and from 1996 until today, she has been working at the Central Java Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology, The Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development, Ministry of Agriculture.
She has been devoted herself as civil servant since 1986, and since 2014 until now, she has been working in the field of agricultural extension. The rank/class of Main supervisory board/IVe was obtained in May 2017 and she has been assigned as a chief for research dissemination and assessment since 2002, responsible for carrying out the dissemination and development of agricultural innovations, transferring the knowledge about agricultural technology innovations and agricultural extension in the field using various methods and media.
Apart from being an agricultural extension worker, in 2013-2020, she was appointed as the Program Coordinator and Evaluation at Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology in Central Java. She is now also active as the Head of the Main Agricultural Extension Communication Forum (FKPPU) of The Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development, a Team Member of the Agricultural, Fisheries and Forestry Extension Commission of Central Java Province and a team assessment member of agricultural extension worker at Indonesian Agency for Agriculture Research and Development. She has been writing and has published several books and scientific papers in several reputable journals, bulletins, proceedings and magazines.
